Hi Everyone!
This morning Edward Rooks and I led a SCVBA trip to Vasona. We started off at the boat center parking lot which was very birdy - *Western Tanagers*, *Vaux's Swifts*, *Brown Creeper*, *White-breasted Nuthatches*. Another pocket of birdiness was the picnic area on the west side of the creek just north of the train station. The *Willow Flycatcher* that I saw on Monday was continuing there plus lots of *Yellow Warblers *and more *Western Tanagers*. Just south of the red pedestrian bridge on the west side of the lake, we had *Yellow Warblers*, a few *Yellow-rumped Warblers *and more *Western Tanagers*. (Western Tanagers were everywhere - counted about 10 of them and that's probably an undercount.) *American Coots* and *Pied-billed Grebes* still were feeding young on the lake. Towards the end of our trip, we had our first *White-crowned Sparrow*.
