Wednesday morning the Blackpoll warbler that Nick Thorpe found at Robb field continues as of 10:45 a.m. In the dense four ficus trees at the southwest corner of the tennis courts. When we had the bird it was staying quite high in the trees. So difficult to see at times with all the layers of vegetation and was mostly in the easternmost one or two trees. At around 8:45 a.m. I had a Bobolink at the TRV Community Gardens in the northwest quadrant primarily circling around calling giving the classic "ink" call but it got swallowed up by a mass of of flushing House finches and Red-winged Blackbirds and it may have left the scene. At the east end of Lower Otay Lake, there is still a Pectoral Sandpiper and a good number of shorebirds overall, and moderate numbers of swallows including one Bank Swallow.
