Hello, Arkansas Birders. Friends of Bald Knob NWR is hosting a field trip on Saturday Oct 3 to look for lingering migrants and wintering visitors at the refuge. These include waterfowl, shorebirds, waders and passerines such as warblers and sparrows. All are invited. WHEN: Saturday, October 3, 8a-noon WHERE: BKNWR Admin Bldg, 1439 Coal Chute Rd, Bald Knob ABOUT THE REFUGE: https://birdingplaces.eu/en/birdingplaces/united-states/bald-knob-national-wildlife-refuge Bring binoculars, water, snacks, sun protection and rain gear. There will be short areas of walking on gravel, so sturdy shoes will be useful. The trip will be canceled if heavy rains are expected. Questions? Feel free to email me, as needed.
