I was walking around the Res today around noon and a great egret was stuck in the goo at the northern end. Lex fire department and, later, Arlington came around with boats and a lot of enthusiasm to expedite the poor bird. I suspect it was tangled in fishing line. Does anyone know how the operation turned out?
