As I said, crazy. 3 miles or so west of rock thrush along marine drive, me driving back to i205. Flew very strongly, 2 or more times the bulk of american kestrel, turned very sharply right in front of the car Reddish back, wings coming to a sharp point, in its crazy sharp turn, as in the attached macaulay library photo. I have experience with this bird years ago in nw WA state at a staked out bird there for many days.
Recognized this one immediately. Absolutely nothing else possible.

Drove back and forth that stretch many times afterward, but nothing more
