Visitors: A few campers from Raystown stopped by for a few minutes. Also a few local track stars.
Weather: Mostly Sunny with some good winds from the NW. Temperature ranged from low 60s in the morning to low 70s in the afternoon. Great day to be on the mountain
Raptor Observations: Good movement of migrating raptors throughout the day, but mainly in the late morning. From 9-11 there was a massive movement of Broad-wingeds, with 336 being seen just from 9-10. More slowly trickled throughout the day. Good diversity in raptor species as well.
Non-raptor Observations: Total species on the day: 36 Non-raptor species seen: Pigeon, Nighthawk Chimney Swifts, Hummingbirds, Black and Turkey Vultures, Barred Owl, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers, Flicker, Yellow-throated Vireo, Blue Jays, Am. Crow, Ravens, Chickadees, Tree Swallows, Barn Swallow, RB Nuthatch, Carolina Wren, Waxwings, Goldfinches, Towhee, Tennessee Warbler, Cape May Warblers, Blackpoll Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler, and my favorite species: New World Warbler sp.
