Subject: [Tweeters] BBSA in Auburn
Late this morning there was a BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER at the M Street Marsh
in Auburn. The bird was pectoral-sized with a dark eye surrounded by buff
& no facial markings. There was a small amount of spotting on the sides of
the breast. The bird was on a dirt clod facing me for about 15 seconds
until it took flight. I could not find the bird again. No photos.

The bird was in the field between M Street and the main pond, as opposed to
the overflow of Mill Creek to the south. A probable beaver dam just south
of 29th has backed up the water in this area, making access difficult.
Scoping from M Street into the bare fields may be the best option, if the
bird remains.
