Weather: Overnight rain lingered into the morning and delayed the start of the count. Transitioning to partly sunny skies for the afternoon. Light northerly winds. Quite warm and muggy.
Raptor Observations: Unfortunately not much of a flight even when it cleared up. Ospreys were most numerous with five. Only three broad-wings. Small numbers of other expected species.
Predictions: TOMORROW: Sunny skies. High near 75F. Winds NNW at 10-15mph. Great winds. Spotting may be difficult if there aren't clouds. We are now entering the period when large Broad-winged Hawk flights are a possibility.
TUESDAY: Sunny with a few clouds from time to time. High 76F. Winds ESE at 5-10mph. A less favorable wind direction, but weak so it may not make a big difference. Decent conditions for broad-wings to be on the move.
WEDNESDAY: Sunny with some cloudy intervals. High 81F. Winds light and variable. Decent conditions again. ======================================================================== Report submitted by David Brown (<davidebrownpa...>) Ashland Nature Center information may be found at: www.delnature.org
