There is a bird at Chadbourne Gulch that has been heard only and is very
likely (most probably?) a Wood Thrush. Peter Pyle briefly heard it on
Thursday (Sep 10) and was not sure at the time. Saturday he reviewed his
recording and decided it is a Wood Thrush. See his report here:

location (also audio only). I played a Wood Thrush call and the bird
immediately responded with a very similar call. Something flew through
the thicket and the sound stopped. I followed and about 10 min later I
had it calling again about 50 yds to the west. I could never get it to

The location of the bird is very nearly exactly where the hot spot
marker is placed on the eBird location map. Chadbourne Gulch runs east
/west. You park on the north side of the ravine. The bird was in dense
willow/alder.
If anyone can tell me that this is definitively not a WOTH, I will
withdraw the sighting. Listen to the recordings and let me know.
