We had a pretty successful trip out to Santa Barbara Island today. The most notable feature of the trip was the widespread presence of Least Storm-petrels, with a number seen even in the Santa Barbara Channel. We later had prolonged good views of. Wilson's Storm-petrel to make a five storm-petrel day.
Wr had a good day for boobies with many Cocos, a Blue-footed at SBI, 2 very showy Red-footed at Anacapa, Nazcas at both SBI and Anacapa. An immature Masked/Nazca was between Anacapa and Santa Cruz Island.
We will be running this trip again on Oct 13. Contact Island Packers if interested.
