I thought the season was over 4 days ago but when Zeke added over 100 more to the Concord list on Thursday I suspected there was more to come.
Birds filled the sky even as I arrived at 5:15, who knows how many I missed earlier. All birds moved northbound on a light S then calm wind. At 6:15 some leakage started so the necessary adjustments were made, otherwise it was a clean count.
I'm pretty sure I've never counted this late in the season and to hit triple digits this late is unprecedented.
It looks like the rain will finish up before count time tomorrow. If so, let's see how many more are out there while we can.
