Weather: Mostly cloudy becoming mostly sunny for the late morning before clouding over to overcast by the end of the count. Light winds that shifted from NE to SE. Pleasant day. Quite warm at times when the sun was out.
Raptor Observations: A moderate flight. Broad-winged Hawks were most numerous with 21. Sharp-shinned Hawks were steady with 16. Another decent Osprey flight with 15. The first Peregrine Falcon of the season, a juvenile, dove on a Northern Harrier, but the harrier turned the tables and started diving at the peregrine which greatly amused us. A few vultures were counted as migrating, including the first Black Vultures of the season.

Predictions: TOMORROW: Rain showers early with some sunshine later. High 84F. Winds WNW at 5-10mph. The gloomy weather may delay the start of the count. Some clearing as the day goes on. A decent wind direction but weak. Probably some activity for the afternoon but I wouldn't expect a big day.
MONDAY: Some morning clouds then mainly sunny. High 77F. Winds NNW at 10-15mph. Excellent winds. Spotting may be difficult if the clouds go away. Should be a decent day for migration. Still too early for a lot of broad-wings?
TUESDAY: Partly cloudy skies. High 76F. Winds ESE at 5-10mph. Good conditions for raptors to be active.
