Subject: [sbcobirding] Pinyon Jays in Ventura County - FLYING WEST
Hey all,

While birding at Camino Real Park in Ventura this morning, I encountered a large flock of Pinyon Jay (approx. 75+) flying high and to the WEST. This is likely related to the recent Clark's Nutcracker irruption observed at La Cumbre Peak in Santa Barbara.

Keep an eye out in the local mountain ranges for these montane species!

Here is a link to my checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S391663348

Good birding,

Spencer Seale
Ventura, CA
