Time started: 0721 Time Finished: 1430 The survey started off mostly clear, calm, and mild, turning partly cloudy and hot with a moderate wind. 47 species were found. The main emphasis today was on looking for migrant Passerines. Highlight was finding an immature Wood Stork. Black Vulture - 80 Turkey Vulture – 11 Cooper's Hawk - 1 Red-shouldered Hawk - 1 Purple Gallinule - 22 Common Gallinule - 58 American Coot – 2 Killdeer - 5 Upland Sandpiper - 1 Mourning Dove - 4 Yellow-billed Cuckoo - 1 Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 4 Red-bellied Woodpecker - 2 Downy Woodpecker - 1 Pileated Woodpecker - 1 Least Flycatcher - 1 Great-crested Flycatcher - 1 Eastern Kingbird - 1 Scissor-tailed Flycatcher - 3 White-eyed Vireo- 11 Yellow-throated Vireo - 1 Blue Jay - 3 American Crow - 9 Northern Rough-winged Swallow - 9 Carolina Chickadee - 3 Tufted Titmouse - 1 Carolina Wren - 8 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - 4 Yellow-breasted Chat - 1 Northern Cardinal - 6 Indigo Bunting - 10 Red-winged Blackbird - 1 Herps: American Alligator Musk Turtle Green Treefrog Blanchard's Cricket Frog Odes: Lilypad Forktail Common Green Darner Eastern Pondhawk Blue Dasher Striped Saddlebags Black Saddlebags Also: Gray Fox Good birding!
