I’m not in the Kansas birding Facebook groups, so I haven’t been getting updates.
How are the numbers of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds across the state in Kansas? We’re experiencing swarms of hummers this fall, very close to the huge migration numbers we had in early September, 2018. One set of two feeders has a minimum of 20 at a time. Others around my yard have more like 4-5 hummers.
We’re really enjoying it and I’m curious if this is another statewide phenomenon like in 2018.
