On 09/08 some us played hooky and opted for the Audubon pelagic outing. Dave Howe stayed true to the nighthawks and had 25 (all flying north).
On 09/09 Concord had rain.
This evening we had five observers and 118 nighthawks! The temp on the roof at 5 pm was 84 degrees; it was still 80 when we stopped at 7:15. Most of the birds were coming in from the east and heading out westerly--many into a headwind.
