Weather: Mostly cloudy with light to moderate winds that switched between northeast and WNW. Quite warm.
Raptor Observations: Not much migration despite good skies and a decent wind. Broad-winged Hawks were most numerous with 6. One Merlin gave a close pass. One Osprey and a few Bald Eagles. Small numbers of other expected migrants.
Non-raptor Observations: Morning birding: 7 Common Mergansers, 2 Black-and-white Warblers, 4 American Redstarts, Magnolia Warbler. https://ebird.org/checklist/S391501783
Predictions: TOMORROW: Cloudy skies early then partly cloudy. High 82F. Winds N at 5-10mph. A good wind direction. The clouds may delay the start of the flight, but it could turn into a pleasant afternoon once the sun comes out. Hopefully the northerly breeze will bring some migrants.
SATURDAY: Mainly cloudy. High around 80F. Winds SE at 5-10mph. A less favorable wind direction.
SUNDAY: Morning showers becoming partly cloudy. High 84F. Winds WNW at 5-10mph.
