Subject: Re: [Arlington Birds] Hummers
I am writing from my lakeside cabin in Tuftonboro NH.
All summer long, two female summers battled at my two feeders and in
Augustat my long tubularred and blue-black salvia flowers. The male only
shows up infrequently in July.
Last Friday, the 3rd, they disappeared- hopefully on their way south.

Since then a single female whips in to drink or suck up nectar. They are
migrating along the shore line, are very skittish unlike my summer birds.
I wonder if they are migrants that remember my feeders and flowers from
past years.

So much to learn
