Hello Cayuga Birders,
This fall, Cornell University landscape architecture students are helping us design an area within Lighthouse Point Woods so that we can plant native trees and shrubs of the right species and density to ultimately result in a high quality bird habitat in the future.
A small group of us is meeting with their professor, Josh Cerra, this evening around 5pm to walk-through the site and do some planning. If you already have been part of our group doing habitat restoration in Lighthouse Point Woods, here is a chance for you to provide some focussed input. If you haven't previously been involved, but want to learn more, this is an opportunity for you to come down and check out the project.
If you plan to come, please respond to this email so I can be on the look out for you (and I will pick up pizza if I know how many folks are coming).
