Yesterday morning while watching for birds at Oak Grove beach I was treated to a fly by of 15 American Avocets. I went back a couple hours later and a flock of 76 American Avocets flew up lake toward the marina and back toward the dam. The adult Lesser Black-backed Gull was there for about ten minutes along with 15 Caspian Terns and two Sanderlings.
