Weather: 68-81 degrees F, bluebird skies to start with cloud cover slowly rolling in. A light drizzle at around 1:00 local time. Intermittent SE wind with gusts up to 8.
Raptor Observations: Bald eagle (1): 1427i
Started the day with some epic broad-winged movement. Birds were streaming out of thermals right in front of the south lookout. A steady trickle of sharpies early in the day exploded into a dozen birds in 15 minutes soon after the rain ended.
Non-raptor Observations: Not many passerines except one nice mixed flock of chestnut-sided, bay-breasted, black-throated green, scarlet tanager, red-eyed vireo. Cedar waxwings bouncing around all day. Great crested flycatcher calling from the bowl.
