This morning, I did a seawatch from Moss Beach with Leonie joining me part of the time. A partial list of what was noted during the two hour seawatch. Northbound were( 20,300 ) Sooty Shearwaters with a Pink-footed Shearwater tagging along. Terns southbound were a Royal Tern, a Forster's Tern not often noted on the coast and ElegantTerns attracting ( 13 ) Parasitic Jaegers. Later back over on the bayside stopping at the Nob Hill Pond, we were surprised to note ( 28 ) Red-necked Phalaropes. A high numberfor the pond!
