Good for you Ron!  It pains me to say it , but I missed that flock by mere minutes.  I was at the peak are by 7 a.m. and spent some time there; then left to check out the pines at the communication center, which was pretty dead bird-wise.  So I drove back home past the Peak and decided not to stop again and it must have been very close to 9 a.m.
There was more activity at the Peak than there usually is this time of year and I picked up both red-breasted and white-breasted nuthatches, but none of the other montane birds reported yesterday.
