Weather: Sunny becoming partly cloudy in the late-morning before clearing again late. Light winds from the north and east. Pleasant day.
Raptor Observations: Less migration today than other recent days and tough spotting when there were few clouds. Sharp-shinned Hawks were most numerous with 11. Six Ospreys. Only three broad-wings. The only falcons were four kestrels. Small numbers of other expected migrants.
New species for season: Wood Thrush, Tennessee Warbler, Pine Warbler.
Predictions: TOMORROW: Mainly sunny with a few afternoon clouds. High 83F. Winds light and variable. Overall similar to today and would expect similar results.
WEDNESDAY: A few clouds early then mostly sunny. High 87F. Winds SSW at 10-15mph. A stronger wind from an unfavorable direction could hold back the migration.
THURSDAY: Partly cloudy then occasional afternoon showers. High 84F. Wind W at 10-15mph.
