Central Park, Manhattan, N.Y. City -
Monday, September 7th -

At least 25 species of migratory warblers were present in Central Park on Monday. Thrush species found included Gray-cheeked, Hermit, Swainsons and Wood Thrushes as well as Veery. Six species of vireo were present, none new to this season but some still quite uncommon, and still early for Blue-headed, the others including Philadelphia, Yellow-throated, White-eyed, Eastern Warbling, and numerous Red-eyed Vireos. Many many other migrants were also found on Monday, and birders were still out looking to late in the day, thru all of the park.

Good birding,
