Subject: [Tweeters] More Phinney birds
It's been an interesting season. This morning I had a truly "Wow" moment when a pileated woodpecker landed on my back fence then suet feeder then flew directly at me and landed just overhead (I dare not move) within 5 feet. Yesterday, Merlin picked one up but I didn't really think it was possible. So seeing it in the yard was a pleasant shock. Once it flew it out of the yard I could hear it drumming in some of the neighborhood conifers.

Otherwise, yellow warblers and the resident birds were in the yard. Dark morning made for difficult birding with camera and bins. But that woodpecker - neat.

Happy Birding!
