Smaller dark gallinule with obvious white side stripe, brown upperparts, dull red bill with dull yellow tip and dull yellow legs, etc. I did not take any photos of this bird as it has already been well documented and others were also present and perhaps even got photos themselves."

- Comments: "I waited to review the photos to make this call and am perfectly fine if it needs to be left unidentified or unconfirmed, but it does seem to have the characteristics to support the call. I noticed the pale eye (yellow) right away and its the right size, pale grey back, mottling or streaking down back of head and neck consistent with 2nd or 3rd cycle, which to me it seems like a 2nd cycle going into its 3rd cycle just because it has more 3rd cycle traits. The underwing fading to an all whitish would support the 2nd to 3rd cycle call. Dull pinkish legs pictures tba"

- Comments: "*Continuing. Definitely two birds h/o calling off and on all morning, one closer and one farther. Call a short series of harsh piercing “genk-genk-genk” calls. Recorded these birds multiple times while I was recording a soundscape, I will crop those and add them here."
