Little Valley Road, 1 mile up on the north side. I don't have the capability for a photo, what my camera took at 10x barely shows it. Hanging out with the usual group of mourning doves (yoy). The white flash as it flew up into the fir trees grabbed my eye. Long mourning dove tail, lots of white underneath, colors look more like a ptarmigan, mottled brown, white, some regular gray on the wings. It hung out there for a long time with an ordinary looking mourning dove whose white outers have moulted.
