Visitors: 28 total visitors. 15 engaged. I was joined by photographer Scott Keys for a little while during the first hour. Later between 9-10 I had a very helpful spotter and first time birdwatcher named Adam, yay Adam welcome to the club!
Weather: Mostly clear to partly cloudy conditions prevailed through the count, with visibility around 30 miles throughout the day. Temperatures rose from about 70�F in the morning to around 80�F by early afternoon, while north to northwest winds strengthened from light early morning speeds to gusts around 16�19 mph, then eased somewhat later in the afternoon. Cloud cover increased from roughly 10�15% early to 50�60% from late morning through the afternoon.
Raptor Observations: Non-migratory sharp shined hawk observed. Non-Migratory juvenile bald eagle observed at 11:42. Non-migratory coopers hawk observed. Bald eagle counted at 10:23 was chased by a peregrine falcon (a nice show to watch) who also took an amazing dive at the eagle.
Other species observed: Cape May Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Rose Breasted Grosbeak, Black Throated Green Warbler, Black Capped Chickadee, Red Eyed Vireo, Tree Swallow, Chimney Swift, and an Olive Sided Flycatcher.
