Many thanks to Brian Butler for conducting today's count and to
Craig Stockert for his spotting efforts ! Per Brian it was a super
comfortable weather day on the ridge with plenty of cloud cover
to help pick out some of those high fliers. Just a steady trickle of birds
all day long with Broadwings coming in as mostly singles, doubles or
triples.
Another day with nice raptor diversity as 10 species were counted today.
The Bird(s) of the Day selection goes to the Merlin and the Coopers hawk
that came in to the owl decoy simultaneously, saw each other and chased
each other around the owl decoy 3 times before heading down ridge !

Non-raptor Observations:
RT Hummers- 6
Monarch- 9
Ravens
TV's
Cedar Waxwings- many
RW Blackbirds
Chimney Swifts
Giant Swallowtail !
Black Swallowtail
