Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Bairds, Golden, three Banks, Parula
On Friday morning, a new Baird's Sandpiper was at the upper, east end of Lower Otay Lake with lots of Westerns and Leasts, first spotted by John Martin; the Pacific Golden Plover was on Stint Island in Pond 23 at the saltworks first thing with lots of Black bellieds and red knots when the tide was up; the Northern Parula continued in the Bird and Butterfly Garden, and there are three Bank Swallows in the moderate-sized mixed swallow flock feeding around the fisherman's parking lot area at Sweetwater Reservoir.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://sandiegofieldornithologists.org/san-diego-county-avian-records-database/.
