Checklist Comments: Sue and I noted birds on walk from start of RV loop to flagpole area with about 10 minutes seated on bench near old red barn at flagpole site. Time of day late for much activity and this time of year songs and calls scarce. I typically do some spishing, EASO imitation, and brief Barred Owl imitation. This time a Barred Owl called back from east of the road on the way in and as we started back two Barred Owls started calling back and forth on the west side with no prompting from me. No EASO replies. Distance is one way and numbers are counts headed in plus new species or clearly new numbers headed out.
