Fellow MBC members,
This upcoming holiday weekend we have a walk at Rock Meadow Conservation
Area in Belmont on Saturday.
Fall migration is upon us and some interesting observations are being
posted throughout Massachusetts so keep exploring your local patches, *report
what you are seeing* and enjoy all that our area has to offer.
*Saturday, September 5*
*Rock Meadow, Belmont*
*Ilija Dukovski ** 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM*
Join us as we walk through gardens, meadows, marsh, and forested areas of
Rock Meadow Conservation Area in Belmont. We should see a dozen of our
resident bird species such as American Goldfinch, Northern Mockingbird,
White-breasted Nuthatch, and, if we are lucky, late Ruby-throated
Hummingbird. Hopefully we will catch a few migrants too. The walk is fairly
easy, with a relatively short (about 50 yards) steeper part. Meet in the
parking lot at 248 Mill Street in Belmont. Ilija Dukovski 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM
