Subject: [NHBirds] 73 Common Nighthawks - Franklin Falls
With weather conditions identical to last night a comparable count, with most birds southbound into the SE wind.
Now that we can look back, we can  see that this year's peak happened on August 28, 30, and 31, as you would expect.  The 2025 season was a major aberation with peak flights not until  September 3 and 5.  In 2024 the peak ran from August 23 through the 27th.  The peak 2 days in 2023 was August 28 and 29.
We only need 30 more nighthawks to reach 7,000 for the season.
