Hello birders! I birded the east side of Pinto Lake today and had a couple of first-of-season birds. A female Townsend's Warbler was in the wooded area by the blind and I repeatedly heard a Red-breasted Nuthatch many times before it moved on. There's a a Western Wood Pewee and Western Flycatcher there as well. I sure have been feeling the change of season and I'm excited to welcome our winter residents!
