(No count conducted today)

Weather:
Rained all day until mid-afternoon, so no watch was conducted today.

Raptor Observations:
In celebration of our 50th anniversary year on Wachusett, here's a look
back to this date in 2011. Rod Chase wrote:
"The summit of Mount Wachusett is under construction. The project to build
a new Fire Tower is 6 to 10 months behind schedule. Road to summit needs a
final coat. Access to the summit is limited to hiking trails and pedestrian
use of the roads. No Cars or Bikes are allowed on the roadway."

(despite these challenges, the team conducted watches on 13 days from Sept
1 to Sept 27, and counted a total of 2,564 migrating raptors - Eric)

Non-raptor Observations:

Predictions:
For Wednesday, the forecast is for cloudy skies, high humidity, temps in
the 60's, and ENE to ESE winds at around 7 mph. Mediocre conditions for
migration, but we'll be up on the mountain.
