Weather:
Mostly sunny with cloudy periods associated with brief showers. Hot! Temps
reaching around 90F. Light WSW winds.

Raptor Observations:
First migrant of the season was an Osprey, one of four for the day. Other
migrants were two Bald eagles, a Cooper's Hawk, an American Kestrel, and a
Red-tailed Hawk. Nice day for thermals when the sun was out so there were a
good number of local raptors soaring around. One distant Red-tailed Hawk
had a tail that looked mostly white on the topside, but it never came close
enough to really see what was going on.

Non-raptor Observations:
Morning birding: Black-and-white Warbler, 2 American Redstarts,
Chestnut-sided Warbler.

Hawk watch: Common Nighthawk, 2 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, 2 Shorebird
sp., OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER, 3 Bobolinks, 2 American Redstarts, 4
monarchs.

Predictions:
TOMORROW: Cloudy. A stray shower possible. High 79F. Winds E at 5-10mph.
Could be some raptor activity but overall less favorable conditions and
very early in the season so not much migrating yet anyway.

THURSDAY: Cloudy then partly cloudy. A stray shower possible. High 88F.
Winds WSW at 5-10mph. Overall similar to today.

FRIDAY: Partly cloudy with afternoon showers or thunderstorms. High 86F.
Winds NW at 5-10mph. The favorable northerly wind could get some birds
moving.
