I did a Seawatch from Coal Oil Point after birding COPR Beach. There was no seabird activity at all so I amused myself watching Elegant and Forester's Terns diving in front of me. Finally I spotted a single Black-vented Shearwater well out in smooth water between two current breaks. No other unique birds were in evidence during my hour of watch.

PS--It was "deja vu all over again" in regard to finding both a juvenile Knot and a Ruddy Turnstone on the say day and beach. I had to look up the date but it was almost exactly a month ago (August 4) that I reported these same 2 species at COPR. Only difference: both of those birds were breeding adults.
