Arizona Birds, the online journal of the Arizona Field Ornithologists, has just posted a new article:
Avifauna of Vekol Valley, Maricopa County, Arizona, by Robert W. Bowker.
From 2018 to 2025 Rob Bowker coordinated volunteer surveys of this interesting underbirded area with spreader dike retention ponds, last surveyed in 2001 by the Drylands Institute and in 2008 during an Arizona Field Ornithologists one-day field expedition.
