This is very late reporting from a week ago Sunday. It was a lovely day, but the birds were either missing or subdued and were not in their usual places.
The Sedge Wrens were at the corner of Cemetery and Lumpee, the Bell's Vireo was also near that same location. There were a few of the usual suspects, but there were no Henslow's Sparrows nor Grasshopper Sparrows. The Northern Roughwings seem to be staging for their Fall migration.
The best and most unusual sighting was at the end on Klink when eight, yes, eight Wild Turkeys strolled across the road.
