Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Pinyon Jays continue Monday
On Monday morning, a flock of 65 (carefully counted) Pinyon Jays returned to the usual original area at the top end of Big Laguna Meadow:
32.8980323, -116.4683001
They were not present first thing in the morning but then arrived from the north at 7:00 a.m., stayed about 20 minutes and then flew back to the north over the small ridge just to the north of this grove of pines that they seem to like a lot with just the proper aged cones! And then at 7:35 They flew back in from the north, so they keep coming and going.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://sandiegofieldornithologists.org/san-diego-county-avian-records-database/.
