Subject: [cobirds] Chatfield Banding Station: Week 1 Report
We had an enjoyable first week of banding at Chatfield with the birds
coming in at a slow but steady pace. We banded 61 new birds of 18 species
and had the pleasure of capturing 17 birds that had been banded in previous
seasons. Some of our highlights were an adult male American Redstart, a
Northern Waterthrush, and an unusually light-colored Black-capped Chickadee
(possible partial leucism/melanin deficiency).

Our new birds were:

American Goldfinch 2
American Redstart 1
American Robin 2
Black-capped Chickadee 2
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 2
Dusky Flycatcher 1
Gray Catbird 9
House Finch 6

Lincoln Sparrow 1
MacGillivray's Warbler 6
Northern House Wren 9
Northern Waterthrush 1
Song Sparrow 2
Spotted Towhee 3
Western Flycatcher 1
Wilson's Warbler 8
Yellow Warbler 2

Returning birds:
