Subject: [NHBirds] The time of year birds make odd friends. Richmond
No unusual sightings yet but last Sunday the August bird drought lifted and
I saw the birds entering their fall habit of flocking with unusual species.

A female scarlet tanager on a garden fence out in the open with bluebirds.

A mixed flock of pine warblers, red eyed vireo, and chipping sparrow.

I also saw a couple nighthawks. No flocks yet, but that could just be
working nights limiting my birding time.

All these sightings were in Richmond.
