A quiet day at the banding station. The new species for the season was an adult Lazuli Bunting. She had a dried up brood patch so I was glad to see she was successful in nesting. There was a Western Tanager singing early and a Red-headed Woodpecker called near the banding station as well. *23 New Banded Birds* Wilson's Warbler- 7 Orange-crowned Warbler- 2 N. Yellow Warbler- 1 MacGillivray's Warbler- 2 Western Flycatcher- 1 Western Wood-Pewee- 1 Willow Flycatcher- 1 N. House Wren- 1 Lesser Goldfinch- 1 Chipping Sparrow- 1 Lazuli Bunting- 1 Swainson's Thrush- 1 Gray Catbird- 2 Brown Thrasher- 1
*6 Recaptures- All gained weight from their original banding date* Wilson's Warbler- 2 N. House Wren Gray Catbird- gained almost 3 grams since yesterday! Brown Thrasher Red-breasted Nuthatch
