A birder posted a photo on EBird of two Red necked Grebes in “breeding plumage “ on Babcock Lake in Grafton. This is a “private “ lake with limited viewing opportunities. One suggested spot might be Beach Road, the boat launch, or at the SW end of the lake - “Little Beach” across from 179 Keyler Ave.
The lake was wind blown with white caps this evening and the birds were not seen.
