Birdcast reported that 3.8M birds passed over Adair County last night, the most so far this fall.
This morning we had a few migrants in the yard:
Chestnut-sided Warbler, female or juvenile
American Redstart, female, which caught a white butterfly or moth
Yellow-billed Cuckoo, that just seemed to sit in the oak tree line for quite a while, maybe just resting
Baltimore Oriole, several males and a female
An unidentified Flycatcher - Merlin Bird ID identified it as a Olive-sided Flycatcher
The juvenile Red-shouldered Hawks continue to visit the yard several times a day.
