I arrived at the egret roost early tonight to get the most accurate count possible, and it paid off. I counted a total of 197 Great Egrets and 64 Snowy Egrets, and I am confident I did not miss a single bird.
However, the Common Nighthawks did not deliver tonight, as I didn't see any during the two hours I was there. I am hopeful to see more of them throughout the week!
