Manhattan, N.Y. City - Tuesday, Aug. 25th -
Two Pectoral Sandpipers were reported, with textual details, from Sherman Creek park mudflats in northern Manhattan this early afternoon, with additional shorebirds also noted there again.
While many migrants had good conditions for ongoing flight overnight, there were at least some new arrivals, such as already found for Central Park, including Wilsons and Black-throated Blue and at least twenty more warbler species, including some from boreal-breeding forest areas. Some diurnal flights of certain migrants is and has also been occurring.
