Large CAGU with longer thicker bill and legs, longer wings, larger head, more extensive streaking on head and neck, and pale gray mantle noticeably paler than nominate and similar in shade to nearby RBGU, etc. Pics tba at some point."

Foraging with the masses of terns, gulls, pelicans, etc. Gave close fly boys a couple of times. Continuing bird seen from Cayucos pier. Spotted by Dave Keeling, with ID double checked from his photos."

Noted bright orange as it flew by and noticeably smaller than green heron. A little bit of contraversy from the group because i was such brief views but I know it was a least bitteren."

Immature perched in willows over the water adjacent to the native garden here: (35.108891, -120.627513). This is likely one of the birds that wintered here last year. Thicker bill than BCNH with different face pattern and slimmer overall, etc. Pics tba at some point"

Two in Native garden, one on peninsula, one on Norswing drive trail north of main entrance, and 1-2 on Norswing drive trail south of main entrance. Very dull OCWAs with large bills, large-headed appearance, greener upper and paler lower eye arcs, veiled hooded appearance, streaked breast and vested appearance, and strong obvious and extensively streaked undertail coverts. Several also giving thick metallic chip calls and one heard singing half-hearted/hesitant-sounding song of this subspecies. Pics of 4/5-6 birds tba eventually."

Female at the same location where the pair of redstarts nested earlier this summer. This is presumably the same bird seen by Aidan Brubaker on 8/18 and is likely the same female that nested here. Pale warbler with short bill, grayish head, dark eye, pale throat and underparts except for yellow patches on the sides of the breast, dull greenish back, dark legs and feet, no wingbars, yellow base to wing coverts, and yellow base to outer rectricies. Fanning tail frequently. Silent. Photos tba eventually."
