Thank you to those that have responded. In each case, the suggestions do
not seem to apply. The eBird application is current, all eBird
dataset/packs/databases are updated, and the application appears to know my
location as it tracks my checklist route fine.
I don't recall if I have had this issue outside of Colorado. I have only
been birding outside the state once this spring. I do have more trips
planned in the coming months, so I can check to see if I have the same
issue elsewhere. I really can't think of other options to try. I've just
found this issue to be very odd for a very common spring/summer bird, and
really only this one bird, which just happened to be one of the birds that
was renamed.
